EQUANS are recruiting for a Mobile Plumber to be based in Manchester.

This is a permanent full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview

To carry out the duties as a Plumber operative in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures.

To assist the Team in producing a quality product meeting the requirements of the contract and in a safe manner.

Adhere to all requirements set by SHEQ team, policy, and strategy.

  • Key Accountabilities
  • To complete high quality repair and maintenance works and deliver high levels of customer service on a daily basis
  • Complete plumbing, heating and multi skilled works in order to complete the job in one visit
  • To adhere to all EQUANS values, policies and procedures.
  • To work effectively and positively with the client, customers and stakeholders on a daily basis
  • To effectively and proactively assist in supporting the team to achieve KPI’s
  • To utilise personal communication and protection equipment effectively and responsibly including the Company’s Vehicle Communication and Tracking System
  • Work with all teams and departments within the Company to ensure the delivery of excellent services.
  • High quality Customer Care must always act in a polite and professional manner.
  • Maintain and care for all company tools
  • 1st time fix to be achieved wherever possible
  • To use appropriate safety equipment
  • To wear appropriate clothing / uniform
  • To ensure areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the day
  • To be responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy
  • To be responsible for holding keys where appropriate
  • Liaison with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc.
  • Material co-ordination & correct use of van stock
  • Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant documentation required on the contract
  • Any other reasonable management request
  • To promote the Company’s aims and objectives, to attend work in a presentable manner in accordance with the Company’s dress code.
  • Complete any required written or electronic documentation and records including time monitoring to enable the accurate calculation of costs, salary and property information.
  • Participate in appropriate vocational/non vocational training courses and attend any appropriate meetings as required.

Qualifications

  • City and Guild (Plumbing/Heating Engineer) or equivalent experience (Essential)
  • Time served apprenticeship (Essential)
  • Relevant gas qualification for the repair, installation and maintenance of gas systems (Desirable)
