Equans is looking for a Data Migration Lead (ERP) to join our team on an 18 month fixed term contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
Equans is embarking on an exciting Transformation journey to simplify and modernise its core business processes and systems. The programme called Simplifying for You is a UKBU wide business led transformation delivering a suite of best-in-class technology solutions, processes and ways of working across Finance, Procurement, HR and Operational processes and systems. At the heart of this is a major ERP Programme involving the consolidation of three ERPs onto SAP S4/Hana and implementation of standardised and optimised processes.
What will you deliver?
- Be accountable for the delivery of key data deliverables, including:
- Data Management Plan
- Data Definitions and Mappings
- Migration Specifications
- Cutover Plans
- Management Reporting
- Data Delivery and Quality
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain effective relationships with data owners and stakeholders across the business, understanding their data challenges and requirements.
- Work closely with the Equans Data and Process owners, the UK Data Services Team, Group ERP SLS, Group Data SLS and other UK and Group IT and Solution teams representing the business.
- Manage any 3rd parties organisations supporting the data migration.
Programme and Team Leadership
- Project manage the data migration workstream, clearly articulating approach and plan so everyone understands it.
- Align activities with overall programme requirements.
- Form and lead a team with the right skills to execute data cleansing and migration tasks according to the programme rollout plan.
- Provide subject matter expertise and actively manage the team’s progress, resources, and deliverables.
Governance and Reporting
- Track and report programme KPIs for data cleansing into the programme’s governance structure.
- Work with partners to establish a RACI matrix, clarifying responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain change control processes for ongoing data management and alignment with other projects.
- Identify and advise the Programme Manager of any issues and risks associated with data work packages. Initiate corrective actions as needed within the constraints set by the Programme Manager.
- Challenge the status quo and drive improvements in data management practices.
- Ensure alignment with best practices and evolving business requirements.

Who are we looking for?
- Deep, specialist knowledge with extensive experience in Data Management practices.
- SAP S/4HANA system knowledge.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills recognising complexities in across different departments and divisions. Able to build relationships at all levels from Programme Director through to all members of the team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to articulate and translate complex detail to appropriate audiences.
- Ability to break down complex problems to identify constituent parts and root causes and provide comprehensive, but pragmatic resolution options.
- Flexible and adaptable with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
