Equans is looking for a Heating Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role to carry out repairs and maintenance work to the homes and properties repaired and maintained by the Company. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

What you will deliver:

  • Install, service and repair domestic and/or commercial heating systems, including boilers, radiators, cylinders, pipework and controls.
  • Diagnose and resolve heating system faults efficiently to restore services with minimal disruption.
  • Ensure compliance with Gas Safe, manufacturer guidance and company procedures at all times.
  • Complete safety checks and certification (e.g. LGSRs – Landlord Gas Safety Records).
  • Deliver work to agreed timescales and quality standards, meeting contractual KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate job records and documentation using company systems.
  • Promote a positive customer experience, representing the company professionally.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors and subcontractors to support team objectives.
  • Identify and report additional works or potential improvements (e.g. energy efficiency upgrades).
  • Comply with HSE legislation, RAMS, safeguarding, and site protocols.

Who are we looking for:

Essential:

  • ACS Gas Certificates (current and valid), including:
  • CCN1 – Core Gas Safety
  • CENWAT – Boilers & Water Heaters
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proven experience in heating installation, maintenance and breakdown work
  • Strong working knowledge of Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations
  • Experience working in domestic properties or commercial sites
  • Desirable:

    • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing/Heating (or equivalent)
    • Unvented Hot Water (G3) certification
    • Commercial Gas Qualifications (CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1A)
    • Energy Efficiency certification
    • Experience in social housing or construction sector
    • OFTEC or Renewable Heating (Air Source Heat Pump/BPEC) certification
