Equans is looking for a qualified and experienced Electrical (T&I) Engineer to join our maintenance team based at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) site in Sutton. You\’ll be responsible for the safe delivery of electrical maintenance, testing & inspections, and fault diagnosis across critical healthcare and research facilities, with occasional cover required at our Chelsea location.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on building services systems.
Complete electrical testing and inspections , including EICRs.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and faults, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Use CAFM and PDA systems to log work in real time, including detailed job notes.
Support electrical shutdowns and act as an Authorised Person (AP) when required.
Supervise contractors on-site and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
Participate in the on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours work.
What We\’re Looking For:
Qualifications:NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent in Inspection & Testing).
Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance within commercial or critical environments.
Strong knowledge of building services (M&E).
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics .
Skills:Proficient with CAFM systems and Microsoft Office.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Customer-focused, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
