EQUANS are looking for a Decorator working on our Calderdale Royal Hospital contract in Halifax. This role would be a permanent role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview

Completing painting and decorating tasks as required at the Calderdale Royal Hospital site.

Impact

  • Minimise penalty deductions by responding in a timely manner to all maintenance issues in accordance with the requirements of the Concession / Project Agreement.
  • Ensure there is minimum disruption to wards and departments throughout the site whilst carrying out works.
  • Ensure Infection Control requirements are implemented through information, instruction and training.
  • All employees are expected to work within our Sustainability and Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Complexity

  • Undertake unsupervised routine painting tasks and work as instructed.
  • Assist other trades in carrying out painting tasks connected to maintenance repairs and installation works.
  • Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines.
  • Collaborate and co-operate with the Trust, partners and colleagues to deliver a customer focused service.
  • Undertake training where necessary to maintain and develop the requirements of the service.
  • Liaise and undertake duties at other Equans projects as directed.
  • Flexibility of work due to hospital access.

Qualifications or Required Experience

  • Previously worked within a maintenance environment.
  • Previously worked within a healthcare maintenance environment.

Skills/Ability/Knowledge

  • Have a good understanding of health and safety, with the ability to understand how to work in a safe manner in a live hospital environment.
  • Be able to complete time sheets.
