A Fabric Engineer in a facilities management maintenance team is responsible for routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, operating equipment, maintaining records, responding to emergencies, ensuring safety compliance, collaborating with colleagues, and receiving training. The role supports the operations of the Cheshire East Council contract.

Key Accountabilities

  • To complete high quality repair and maintenance works and deliver high levels of customer service on a daily basis.
  • Complete Joinery and multi-skilled works to complete the job in one visit when applicable.
  • To adhere to all Equans values, policies, and procedures.
  • To work effectively and positively with the client, customers, and stakeholders on a daily basis.
  • To effectively and proactively assist in supporting the team to achieve KPI’s.
  • To utilise personal communication and protection equipment effectively and responsibly including the Company’s Vehicle Communication and Tracking System.
  • Work with all teams and departments within the Company to ensure the delivery of excellent services.

Qualifications

  • City and Guilds or Equivalent in Joinery.
  • Time-served apprenticeship (Desirable).
  • Current valid driving license (Essential).
  • Be able to pass Government DBS checks.
  • Evidence of right to work in the UK (required).
  • Disclosure check may be required.
