Equans is looking for a Cleaning Team Leader to join our team in Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO6 3LY on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 35 hours per week. On offer is a salary of Β£28,082 per annum and benefits package.
Shift Pattern: Flexible working hours from 12:00-22:00 with one day off in the week. Working every other weekend.
What will you deliver?
- Responsibility and supervision of housekeepers and patient services assistants daily.
- Ensuring full cover is provided regarding duty rosters and allocation of work to ensure effective completion of duties in line with the performance standards.
- Supervision and control of standards of service delivered to the Trust at ward/departmental level which will include the delivery of the cleaning, along with patient food and beverage service.
- Interface and link between ward/departmental managers and services teams in relation to reactive maintenance requests.
- Ensure that the staff in soft services are proactive in identifying and reporting maintenance defects etc. as part of their daily duties.

Who are we looking for?
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
- Basic Health and Safety Certificate (Desirable)
- Supervisory management qualification (Desirable)
- Ability to work as part of a team (Essential)
- Experience of performance management of employees including appraisals
- Experience of working within Hotel & Catering industry and/or Facilities Management sector (Desirable)
- Experience in a supervisory capacity
- Computer literate, ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
