Overview
The Energy and Carbon Solutions (ECS) consulting division develops and implements net‑zero strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients, including manufacturing, transportation, public sector and corporate entities. ECS engineers create attractive, turnkey solutions enabling Equans to deliver end‑to‑end net‑zero projects.
Accountabilities
- Support effective team and project management, including timelines, costs, profitability and client satisfaction.
- Deliver technical reports and energy audits as part of solution development.
- Build client relationships to maintain a strong, repeatable pipeline.
- Assist in training new ECS starters.
- Ensure compliance with Equans governance processes.
- Provide industry thought leadership and represent ECS at industry events.
Operations and Solutions Achievement
- Undertake energy audit activities, development, engineering, and conceptual design of energy projects.
- Develop complex numerical models of engineering and commercial feasibility.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance processes, including peer and management review.
- Communicate with stakeholders to brief on submissions as they progress.
- Support profitability and revenue targets through proactive time management and efficient delivery.
- Articulate key risks and benefits to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with commercial and finance teams to create profitable outcomes.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise and support to projects handed to divisional teams.
Sales Achievement
- Maintain current knowledge of Equans, industry, client, sector, and competitor trends.

Qualifications or Required Experience
- Technical knowledge of implementing energy solutions and engineering services across buildings, commercial, industrial, and manufacturing sectors.
- Energy‑related engineering or applied science degree.
- Demonstrated technical and commercial modelling depth in two or more disciplines: decarbonisation of heat, renewable energy, energy management and retrofit, industrial energy management, energy‑driven BMS, controls and analytics, net‑zero carbon programme delivery, district heating, energy & carbon data analytics.
- Confident and articulate in presenting technical and commercial cases to senior stakeholders.
- Experience presenting to organisations in oral and written form, conveying complex technical issues and solutions clearly.
- Problem‑resolution and critical‑thinking skills.
- Capacity to mobilise and engage people, build and leverage networks.
- Experience in multi‑disciplinary teams and matrix management on major projects and programmes.
- Excellent understanding of the energy, climate change, and sustainability sector.
- Strong organisational and project‑management skills to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Self‑motivated, resourceful, able to succeed with minimal direction.
- Passion for accelerating the net‑zero agenda.
Desirable
- Masters degree in energy‑related engineering.
