Equans is looking for an M&E Operative to join our team at Broomfield Hospital. This is a full‑time role. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Undertake planned, reactive, and proactive maintenance of M&E systems and building fabric per PPM schedule and management direction.
- Apply relevant trade skills including plumbing and building fabric repairs to ensure first‑time fixes and enhance customer experience.
- Act as Water Hygiene Competent Person, performing legionella system maintenance on taps, showers, and TMVs.
- Assist with ordering materials and escort contractors as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and update CAFM systems using PDA logs.
- Support customer care philosophy by liaising effectively with clients and other team members.
- Comply with Health & Safety policies and contribute to Quality and Equalities objectives.

Who are you?
- Experienced in M&E maintenance and building fabric repairs, ideally within healthcare or hard FM environments.
- Relevant trade qualifications and commitment to ongoing training, including legionella awareness.
- Competent in using CAFM systems and PDA data logging.
- Good communication skills, customer‑focused, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Committed to health, safety, and quality standards at all times.
- Flexible, reliable, and professional in appearance and conduct.
