Overview
Equans is looking for a CCTV Control Room Operator to join our team in National Operations Centre Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire ST4 1AY on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 42 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £27,594.08 per annually and benefits package.
Shift Pattern:
24/7 shift pattern – 4 days 0700-1900, 4 off, 4 nights 1900-0700, 4 off
Responsibilities
What will you deliver?
Perform a key role in all aspects of the National Operations Centre, managing site alarm activations, including CCTV verification and to facilitate appropriate escalation. When required, respond appropriately to requests through the Facilities Management Helpdesk and QSE Incident Reporting Hotline.

Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience within a Control Room, Service Desk or other high call volume environment or experience of working within a customer focused environment.
- Maths and English GCSE Grade C and above
- An excellent working knowledge of IT. Must have experience with the Microsoft Office 365 package including MS Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel & Word.
- Experience of contributing to incident management /command and control operations.
- Previous security or service desk experience and experience / training in fire safety and first aid.
- Previous CCTV & access control knowledge. An understanding of CCTV operations and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, including high standards of written and spoken English. Ability to maintain accurate incident logs and gather evidential information
- SIA licensed for Public Space Surveillance (PSS CCTV operations) or willingness to be trained to achieve SIA licence requirements
