Equans is looking for a CCTV Control Room Operator to join our team in National Operations Centre Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire ST4 1AY on a 12th month fixed term contract. This is a full time role working 42 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £29,455.58 per annum and benefits package.
Shift Pattern: 24/7 shift pattern - 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off
What will you deliver?
- Perform a key role in all aspects of the National Operations Centre, managing site alarm activations, including CCTV verification and to facilitate appropriate escalation.
- When required, respond appropriately to requests through the Facilities Management Helpdesk and QSE Incident Reporting Hotline.

Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience within a Control Room, Service Desk or other high call volume environment or experience of working within a customer focused environment.
- Maths and English GCSE Grade C and above
- An excellent working knowledge of IT. Must have experience with the Microsoft Office 365 package including MS Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel & Word.
- Experience of contributing to incident management/command and control operations.
- Previous security or service desk experience and experience/training in fire safety and first aid.
- Previous CCTV & access control knowledge. An understanding of CCTV operations and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, including high standards of written and spoken English.
- Ability to maintain accurate incident logs and gather evidential information.
- SIA licensed for Public Space Surveillance (PSS CCTV operations) or willingness to be trained to achieve SIA licence requirements.
