Equans currently has an exciting opportunity for a Typist to join our facilities team on our Metropolitan Police South East London maintenance contract based at Bromley Police Station. This is a permanent full‑time position working 37.5 hours per week from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute unpaid break. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Provide support on the contract by producing typed summaries of taped interviews, transcripts, and typing witness/victim statements.
- Work as part of the overall typing team covering across the contract, where necessary.
- Provide general administrative support as required.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and documents.
- Ensure delivery of consistently high standards of customer service.
Qualifications & Skills
- Speed and accuracy are essential.
- Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm and educated to GCSE Level or equivalent.
- Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent proof‑reading skills.
- Well‑organised and able to prioritise a busy workload.
- Can‑do attitude.
- Successful applicants will be subject to Metropolitan Police security vetting.
