Equans UK is looking for an

Bid Manager from an infrastructure and environmental services background to join our DES business based from our London office on a hybrid working arrangement.

Role Overview

The Bid Manager plays a vital role in supporting the team to secure new contracts through efficient and accurate bid preparation, coordination, pipeline management and management of tender portals client procurement portals.

This role involves liaising with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to gather required information, formatting and compiling bid documents, managing bid timelines, and maintaining the central bid tracking systems.

The Bid Manager ensures all bids are submitted on time, compliant with company standards, and support a smooth transition upon successful award.

  • Key activities
  • Coordinating communication with external suppliers to collect pricing, technical, and compliance information required for bids.
  • Managing and driving the bid submission timeline, coordinating with internal staff to meet deadlines.
  • Formatting bid documents to professional standards and compiling final submissions.
  • Governing the handover process to project delivery teams upon bid success.
  • Maintaining and updating the list of active bids, providing the bid team with clear visibility on status and next actions.
  • Supporting process improvements within the bid management cycle to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Skills, Qualifications And Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative or support role within a sales environment.
  • Competence in managing deadlines and coordinating diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong IT skills, with proficiency in document formatting and bid tracking tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and bid requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience working across multiple business units or regions is advantageous.
