Equans Digital is looking for a BMS Estimator. The successful candidate will be trained to provide estimates and support the preparation of bids for projects that upgrade or enhance Building Management System infrastructure. The role covers commercial, retail, healthcare, education and government sectors. Equans Digital delivers projects from £10k to £1.5m, using a mix of in‑house delivery and specialist supply chain partners. With an aggressive growth strategy over the next 3–5 years, this role will help define, shape and grow the estimating team to support sustainable expansion.

Key activities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for BMS projects, including labour, materials, subcontractors and equipment.
  • Develop and submit competitive and compliant tender packages in response to RFPs and ITTs.
  • Review and interpret project drawings and technical documentation to produce comprehensive estimates.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to inform estimating accuracy and value‑engineering opportunities.
  • Identify potential risks and cost drivers and propose mitigation strategies to ensure commercial viability.
  • Serve as a key contact for internal teams and clients during the estimating phase, providing clarification and supporting sales and project initiation activities.
  • Maintain thorough records of estimates, assumptions and cost databases to support consistent and transparent practices.
  • Prepare and submit accurate project estimates that support successful bid outcomes and profitability.
  • Collaborate with sales, project management and technical teams to ensure commercial and technical alignment.
  • Travel across the UK to client or project locations as required.
