Equans are looking for a HR Advisor to join our team covering the Midlands and Wales on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. The role offers hybrid working with travel to sites required.

Responsible for the provision of HR Advisor support for people matters to a national multisite contract of circa 1600 colleagues. Supporting the HRBP, this role will specifically cover the Southeast and Southwest region and Support Functions circa 350 colleagues. Supporting the regional management teams to deliver improvements in culture, change management, compliance and cost control to drive improved engagement and financial results.

As a member of the HR Team, to provide an efficient dedicated first line support to the Mid and Front-Line management population within HMCTS supporting all on HR policy and practice such as disciplinary, grievance, absence & performance management.

What will you deliver?

  • Advising and Supporting line managers in all people processes to ensure best practice and employee engagement is enhanced.
  • Coach line managers to build capability and promote ownership for managing their people and embedding a leadership framework.
  • Advice and support on grievance / disciplinary action including attendance at hearings as appropriate.
  • Generating attendance management reports and highlighting areas of concern, agreeing plans to improve with line managers and supporting delivery.
  • Monitoring of the annual SuccessFactors cycle, acting as a super-user and ensuring completion in a timely manner.
  • Tracking offline appraisals for front line unconnected staff.
  • Supporting with the month end reporting process ensuring that data is collated, accurate and provided on time.
  • Supporting the launch of new policies & processes, conducting workshops / Training where appropriate.
  • Advise line managers on employee engagement initiatives to ensure best practice and providing guidance on contract wide initiatives.
  • Support TUPE In’s and TUPE Out’s and act as initial contact.
  • Supporting the annual salary reviews, acting as the champion.
  • Compliance checking and review including clearances, adherence to governance and process controls and GDPR, to escape any issues to the HRBP.
  • Coordinating the REMCO process as required.
  • Supporting structural change and mobilisation on an ad hoc basis as required.
  • Adhere to and promote compliance with the EQUANS ethics policy.

Who are we looking for?

  • Significant proven HR experience of working in a high pressured, fast pace environment.
  • Working knowledge of TUPE/ Contract mobilisation experience.
  • Experience in an Operational HR Advisory role supporting front and mid-level managers.
  • Track-record in HR generalist and change management roles.
  • Working knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative and within a team.
  • Strong ability to communicate in person, email and letter.
  • Demonstrated practical approach to problem solving.
  • Experience of gathering and presenting data.
  • Able to travel across nationally as and when required.
  • Have a valid UK Drivers licence and ability to drive to site.
  • BPSS Clearance.
