Equans is looking for a Fabric Craftsperson to join our team based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full‑time role (37.5 hours per week) and includes an on‑call rota. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Carry out all works in compliance with EQUANS KPI’s and contract
- Good engineering / carpentry / flooring knowledge are required
- Good painting / decorating skills are required
- General building skills are favourable
- Strong technical understanding of fire doors
- Work with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out routine maintenance, repair and cleaning activity across the site
- Integrate and communicate effectively with contractors and electrical, mechanical and building services staff
- Carry out general duties including support by manual labour for relocations and moves, tidying and cleaning Estates areas and Plant rooms
- Drive the company vehicle as required to meet the needs of the service
- Participate in the Equans Mental Health on‑call rota
- Respond promptly and efficiently to breakdowns, blockages and other building fabric requirements

Who are you?
- Recognised qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Driving license – Essential
- General knowledge of building fabric maintenance works to include but not limited to Carpentry, Flooring, Plastering, Painting, and Fire doors
- Previous knowledge or experience working in an NHS environment would be advantageous
