Assistant Reporting and Forecasting Manager

Equans UK & Ireland is looking for an Assistant Reporting and Forecasting Manager to join our team in Wath upon Dearne, South Yorkshire on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role, on offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

Overview

This is a key financial role within the Places & Communities divisional finance team, providing consolidation and reporting support to the Reporting & Forecasting Manager and supervise the reporting team as well as accounting support for the reporting manager.

What will you deliver

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the reporting team and assist in the development of team members.
  • Perform annual PDR reviews with each member of the reporting team.
  • Production of meaningful and timely executive level analysis of monthly business performance. Capable of completing and circulating high quality deliverables independently with little supervision.
  • Facilitation of month-end reporting of Flash results, coordinating the various finance business partners across UK divisions.
  • Supporting the P&C Division’s annual budgeting and forecasting processes across P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasting. This includes collecting data and presenting it, developing meaningful analysis, supporting the review and challenge of forecasts.
  • Understanding and challenging current business practice, identifying and implementing initiatives to improve and develop processes and deliver efficiencies.
  • Responsibility for managing actuals and forecasting entries into Divisional Adjustments, ensuring provision and contingency schedules are correct and up to date, this will also involve presenting the numbers to the CFO and other exec team members.
  • Development and analysis of Controlling working capital reporting and be the ‘go-to person’ for any queries.
  • Assist management accounting with balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Other ad-hoc activities including supporting new system implementations.

Who are we looking for

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
  • Strong IT skills with advanced working knowledge of Excel is essential.
  • Experience required of using multiple systems for consolidation and reporting.
  • Good working knowledge of PowerPoint, BPC, E-Vision, Tagetik, SAP, Power BI, and SSRS systems is preferable.
  • Experience in large, complex organisations with several divisions would be a distinct advantage.
  • Previous experience of manging a small team
