Join our team as an Apprentice Data Technician on a 2 year apprenticeship programme and start your journey in a rewarding career.
This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in data, reporting and business intelligence within the BI Support and Enterprise Data Management team at Equans UK.
As an Apprentice Data Technician, you will work alongside experienced colleagues who will support you in developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for a successful career in data.
You will gain practical experience helping the business access trusted information while learning how data is managed, analysed, reported and used to support decision-making.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you will receive structured training, coaching and on-the-job support as you build confidence using data, reporting tools and business intelligence solutions.
You will have the opportunity to work towards a Level 3 Data Technician or Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship, depending on your skills, experience and progress.
Location
Flexible - predominantly working from home with occasional site visits as per business requirements; one day per week attending virtual learning classes
Hours
37.5 hours per week from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute unpaid break
Duration
24 months to complete full apprenticeship

Qualification
Level 3 Data Technician or Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship, depending on your skills, experience and progress.
What you’ll do
- Assist with monitoring and responding to reporting requests and user queries.
- Support report testing and basic data validation activities.
- Maintain documentation, user guides and knowledge resources.
- Help track actions, incidents and improvement activities.
- Contribute to team standards, processes and knowledge sharing.
- Support the delivery of reliable reporting and data services.
- Learn how to investigate and escape issues when additional support is required.
- Involves attendance at a local college one day per week with 4 days working on site
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4/C or above including Maths, English, and Science.
- Great communicator and enjoy working with others.
