Overview

Join to apply for the Street Lighting Supervisor role at Equans UK & Ireland. Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a member of the Bouygues global group. This position is based from Sittingbourne, Kent, to support a long-term street lighting maintenance contract.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate planned street lighting and developer works, including column, signpost, and bollard replacements.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Schedule, allocate, and monitor workloads for operatives and subcontractors to achieve daily and weekly targets.
  • Liaise with Kent County Council engineers, developers, and internal teams to plan and deliver works programs.
  • Carry out site inspections, quality checks, and audits to ensure contract specifications and design drawings are followed.
  • Manage and record progress, support administrators with compensation events using Confirm.
  • Support the approval and adoption process for developer works, including site inspections, defect management, and certification.
  • Ensure materials, plant, and equipment are efficiently utilised and maintained.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to operatives.
  • Promote and enforce safe working practices, including toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • NRSWA Supervisor accreditation (essential).
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Highways Electrical Work (desirable).
  • Current ECS / CSCS card.
  • G39 certification (essential).
  • SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
