Equans is looking for an Interim Procurement Manager – Support & Performance to join our team on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

The post holder will play an important role in delivering tactical procurement requirements and Procure to PERFORM strategy by undertaking a transparent and high-quality project based service delivery, and promoting innovative approaches to procurement.

The Procurement Manager – Support & Performance is a role that actively participates in PERFORM program delivery and primarily seeks to drive value and financial benefit within the procurement function. Serving as an essential link between the execution of the PERFORM program and Equans’ overall strategic objectives, a core focus is on supporting initiatives that positively impact COP. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential, however the role prioritises engagements that attribute to financial benefit. Except for responsibilities outlined in this job description, or agreed in conjunction with HoP, in scenarios where financial value cannot be quantified, such activities fall outside of this position\’s support. This value-based approach ensures that efforts are aligned with the Equans financial targets and objectives maximising value of this position.

What will you deliver?

  • Delivery of procurement responses and content for annual audits including ISO 9001, EcoVadis, Achilles, Cabinet Office strategic supplier annual survey
  • Oversight, audit, continuous improvement of best practice, policy & guidance and process relating to corporate procurement
  • Maintain and administer the Procurement SharePoint site to support knowledge management and team collaboration
  • Provide regular reporting on procurement-related business metrics such as analysis of compliant/non-compliant spend, insourcing, sustainable procurement activity (e.g., SME and Social Enterprise spend)
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement across business functions, including SHEQ, CSR, Group Communications, and others, to support cross-functional procurement initiatives
  • Coordinate internal communication across the procurement function and wider organisation, leveraging email, Yammer, and other corporate communication platforms
  • Offer a robust PMO service, adhering to project management best practices (support with strategy design and analysis) to ensure consistent execution and optimal outcomes for PERFORM Programme
  • Support the Category Management (CM) and divisional procurement teams in developing the PERFORM strategy, timelines, and reporting schedules
  • Support delivery of the Procure to perform project commitments across the procurement function
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, dependencies and implement mitigation strategies
  • Track and report on cost reduction achievements
  • Track and report on non-financial achievements
  • Support procurement stakeholders to validate budget impact
  • Actively troubleshoot, identifying bottlenecks and recommending process, governance, and best practice changes to ensure the successful delivery of PERFORM targets
  • Maintenance and enhancement of core central and operation procurement governance and guidance that can influence PERFOM Programme execution
  • Proactively analyse and identify areas of potential enhancement within the procurement processes. Where these is evidence of potential financial gains or advancements in the delivery of the PERFORM Programme, recommend, and champion the necessary process changes to capture these benefits
  • Champion change within the organisation, cultivating a culture of innovation and continual improvement in alignment with PERFORM targets
  • Demonstrate integrity, commitment, and accountability in all aspects of the project
  • Coordinate and ensure timely reporting based on the committed schedule, effectively communicating results and updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Monthly PTP reporting summary (UK CPO, UK CFO, Group) Duties includes:
  • Continuous improvement of reporting tracker/tool
  • collation and aggregation of available financial data
  • quality control, summary and analysis, presentation of results
  • deadline management
  • Quarterly category PTP showcase. Duties include:
    • design + build of reporting format and template
    • support category managers to collate data, quality control
    • organisation of presentation schedule (roadshows)
    • deadline management
  • Quarterly balanced scorecard (UK CPO, UK CFO. Duties Include:
    • design + build of input reporting tracker/tool
    • collation and aggregation of available financial and non-financial data
    • quality control, summary and analysis, presentation of results
    • deadline management
  • Coordinate, with CPO / HoP, organisation of meetings and invitation of all relevant senior business leaders to the calls
  • Oversee monthly reporting cycles, ensuring real-time knowledge of all changes at Group, divisional, and central levels
  • Ad hoc reporting upon request where capacity exists

    Who are we looking for?

    • Previous experience of a leadership role within the FM, construction, or related industries
    • Demonstrable experience of presenting complex technical, planning, and associated info to provide cost effective solutions
    • Significant experience in developing work winning solutions with operational and business development stakeholders to drive better technical solutions and outcomes
    • Recognised as a subject matter expert and capable of contributing to technical discussions specific to the category and supporting the development of valued engineering or alternative product selection
    • A strong and established network of category suppliers and subcontractors and the ability to make informed supply chain selection decisions based on project scope
    • Strong analytical abilities, and the ability to analyse complex category data to drive supply chain selectivity and risk mitigation
    • Knowledge of process design and development including familiarity with Visio
    • Familiarity with standard forms of contract

    This role includes a DBS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential.
