Equans Data Centers are seeking a Project Engineer – Construction to support our growing Data Centre business in Motherwell.
Responsibilities
- Ensure work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
- Coordinate the on‑site construction process ensuring the site build progresses in line with the plan.
- Support the overall programming and planning of the build.
- Be involved in groundworks and internal fit‑out.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring contracts are delivered in accordance with project agreements and best practice.
- Attend site meetings, communicate effectively and provide information for progress reports.
- Record and report key metrics to team members and management.
- Provide operational support, including review of procedures, best practices and initiatives.

Qualifications
- Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
- Proven technical knowledge of the construction industry.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Self‑motivated with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines.
- Customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Strong attention to health and safety matters.
- Commercially astute.
- Experience in the data centres sector is desirable.
- Degree or equivalent in Construction Management or a related field.
- Evidence of right to work in the UK.
