We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst on a 12‑month fixed term contract basis to support our Digital and Energies Services business based in Bevis on a hybrid working pattern.

Role overview

Be an effective analyst, with high levels of data accuracy and efficient processes to support the financial data reporting and processes, and financial systems interrogation working to a clear timetable to enable the Financial Controller to deliver an accurate financial monthly close. This includes accurately recording cash, P&L and Balance sheet preparatory work and support the build‑up and maintenance of reports linked to the forecasting and budgetary financial framework.

Key activities

  • Work with the FC to ensure that plans, budgets and forecasts supporting data is consolidated in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Work with the FC by providing financial information and interpretation, undertaking analytical investigations, contributing to developing a better understanding of the business and supporting operational understanding of performance.
  • Support the FC in the flow of financial information, including collation of journals, management accounts and reporting for communicating to/from the Finance Business Partners, through extensive use of Excel, SAP interrogation, Coupa interrogation and BPC reporting systems.
  • Provide basic accounting, reporting and all appropriate financial information (POEM, GRIR, WIP, Cost Distribution, payroll reconciliations & reports), under the guidance of the FC.
  • Consistently monitor and chase monthly cash collection targets for each of the Divisional Business Units to ensure forecast targets are achieved.
  • Produce monthly Intercompany Recharge Invoices as per invoice schedule and ad‑hoc invoices as required on a timely basis.
  • Support in the delivery of all financial processes and ongoing divisional improvements to the systems and processes performance KPIs.

Skills, qualifications & experience

  • Graduate or AAT part qualified with drive to study to achieve an accounting qualification (i.e. CIMA/ACCA).
  • Good financial & commercial acumen.
  • Ability to see patterns and collate excel data with accuracy and create presentable outputs.
  • Good communicator and strong inter‑personal skills.
  • Strong planning & administration skills.
  • Ability to manage own workloads to meet set deadlines.
  • Being open to innovation and new ways of working.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and can do attitude.
  • SAP Experience is essential.
