Equans Data Centers are seeking to appoint a Design Manager, to support our growing Data Centre business.
What you will deliver:
- Take full responsibility for the design coordination within the project.
- Liaise with the client to establish information flow and platforms to be utilised.
- Work with the programmers to establish timelines and take responsibility for the production and control of the design programme and report against it.
- Manage the uploading of the design information in a timely manner.
- Monitor the Design management tools to ensure all information is available and is in the correct location.
- Organise, control and manage the design team meeting with the client and their teams.
- Identify and manage risk from drawings, specifications, programme and procurement.
- Identify problems and offer solutions.
- Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.

Who are we looking for:
- Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
- Background in Electrical/Mechanical or Construction design.
- In-depth knowledge of the design and construction process.
- Knowledge and skills to effectively problem solve with the ability to effectively manage risk.
- Be self‑motivated, with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines.
- Customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Attention to Health and Safety matters.
- Commercially astute.
- Experience in the data centres sector is desirable.
