Equans Data Centers are seeking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to support our growing Data Center in High Wycombe. We are committed to providing cutting edge solutions for our clients' Data Center facilities and ensure that health and safety is a key element to business strategy. What you will deliver?

  • Assist the Health and Safety Manager in driving and achieving the agreed safety standards.
  • Support the Operational Team(s) for risk reviews and controls to ensure safe systems of work are established.
  • Foster a strong, positive health and safety culture in the business and ensure adherence to the established management system.
  • Champion the adoption and effective execution of the Health and Safety strategy across the site.
  • Deliver against set Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and keep updating with key changes to legislation.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance.
  • Lead by example at all times by consistently following company policies, procedures and demonstrating exemplary safety leadership.
  • Attend meetings as requested by the Health and Safety Manager/Project Director.
  • Develop and deliver training material for the purposes of raising awareness and education.
  • Collaborate within the project and externally to ensure the safety of contractors and visitors.
  • Ensure all accidents and incidents are accurately reported and recorded.

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven Health & Safety experience in the construction environment.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Able to challenge when unsafe acts or behaviours identified.
  • Ability to write weekly summaries of site conditions.
  • Support the Health & Safety Manager in delivering training to groups.
  • Maintain charts and graphs for monthly reports.
  • Good with Excel and Pivot Tables.
  • Ability to work their own, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of using PowerPoint and preparing presentations.
