Equans is looking for a Project Manager to join our team covering the Northwest of England on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
Working on a prestigious government account, the post holder will be responsible for managing a variety of small works from £35k-£1M. The post holder will also be responsible for generating and delivering a variety of FM Project Works on our customers' sites across the UK to meet the needs of the business. The role requires site visits in and around the Northwest. We are looking for an experienced project manager with experience within the FM industry. A confident communicator able to balance the needs of all stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.
Candidate Required: To obtain BPSS Clearance prior to commencing.
What will you deliver?
- Identify and generate project work opportunities from within a set portfolio of maintenance contracts.
- Liaise with key stakeholders on their requirements and explain feasibility of their schemes to become a trusted advisor.
- Work with developers, designers, and sub-contractors to define and document scope(s) of work(s).
- Develop and understand the full scope of works in line with the desired project business case and outcome, within agreed budget requirements and required profit margins.
- Manage, run, and draw up tenders on behalf of the customer as required.
- Carry out full tender analysis of all sub-contractor returns.
- Ensure all project works are compliant with CDM 2015.
- Identify, reduce, and manage all statutory and commercial risks associated with the project.
- Ensure EQUANS SHEQ practices and processes are fully embedded in each project.
- Ensure full compliance with project management policies and procedures.
- Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) “end to end”, including estimating, business development, quantity surveying, sub-contractor management, and site manager duties.
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
- Ensure customer acceptance is adhered to, in writing and in line with the project plans.
- Mutually agree payment schedules and applications for payment to the benefit of the project and the business.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
- Provide timely monthly reports to the Head of Projects/Sector Director in an agreed format.

Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a Project Management role, ideally in an M&E, FM, construction, or critical environment.
- CDM regulations knowledge.
- Proven experience of running a P&L.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand commercial and financial metrics.
- Ability to deliver to deadlines and present with confidence.
- Fully competent with Project Management methodology.
- Broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law and legislation.
