Equans Data Centres is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Mechanical, to join our expanding team and support the delivery of cutting-edge data centre solutions in High Wycombe and across the UK.

As part of our commitment to innovation and excellence in data centre solutions, we are looking for professionals who can lead the mechanical construction elements of large scale projects from inception to completion.

The Project Managers – Mechanical will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, to the highest quality standards, and in full compliance with health and safety regulations.

What you will deliver?

  • Leading on site mechanical construction activities from start to finish.
  • Manage a team to ensure that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
  • Drive operational excellence and provide expert technical guidance.
  • Coordinate and control the on-site construction process ensuring the site build progresses line with plan.
  • Develop and agree electrical submission and approval process with the client and design team.
  • Support the overall programming and planning of the build.
  • Attend site meetings, effectively communicate and provide information for Progress Reports.
  • Chair and minute the subcontractor meetings.
  • Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
  • Reviewing procedures and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans.

  • Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • In-depth technical knowledge of Mechanical Services
  • Knowledge and skills to effectively problem solve
  • A keen desire to continually develop knowledge further
  • Be self-motivated, with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines
  • Customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Attention to Health and Safety matters
  • Commercially astute
  • Experience in the data centres sector and a degree or equivalent in an Mechanical discipline is desirable
