Job Description
Warehouse/Stores Operative
Salary Basic £25,750pa + Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate – paid on any hours worked after 40h
25 days holiday a year plus statutory bank holidays and Christmas shutdown
Late Shift – Mon – Thurs 13:00-22:00 & Fri 11:00-20:00
Night Shift – Sun-Thurs 22:00-07:00 (Additional £15 per nightshift worked)

About the Company
Richard Austin Alloys Ltd deal in the storage and distribution of a large range of Stainless Steel and Aluminium products. Our head office is based in Glasgow and the business trades from 7 principal locations employing circa 350 staff with a group yearly turnover in excess of £200m.
We have a good company culture, a friendly working environment, on the job training and always encourage our employees to suggest improvements in efficiency and Health & Safety.
Role Responsibilities but not limited to;-
- Order picking in a safe & efficient manner
- Loading and unloading lorries
- Restocking
- General warehouse duties, including regular cleaning of work areas
- Using machinery (buzz saw, band saw)
We are currently recruiting for the following shifts only:
Late Shift – Mon – Thurs 1300-2200 & Fri 1100-2000
Night Shift – Sun-Thurs 2200-0700 (Additional £15 per nightshift worked)
Essential/Desirable Skills:-
- Counterbalance FLT licence would be an advantage
- Good time keeping
- A willingness to learn
- Possess an excellent attitude
- Good attendance record
Forklift & warehouse training will be provided if needed.
