Role overview We are looking for an experienced Employment Tribunal Advocate to join our existing legal services team in Ripponden, Halifax. This is an opportunity for someone with proven tribunal advocacy experience who can hit the ground running, manage their own caseload and make an immediate contribution to the team. Reporting to the Senior Advocate and ultimately the Managing Director, you will manage Employment Tribunal cases from initial instruction through to conclusion, including representing clients at hearings. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and managing Employment Tribunal cases from start to finish. Representing clients at preliminary hearings, case management hearings and final hearings. Preparing tribunal documentation, witness statements, evidence and hearing bundles. Advising clients on case merits, risks, potential outcomes and settlement options. Negotiating and concluding settlements where appropriate. Liaising with the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service, Employment Tribunals, solicitors and other parties. Managing tribunal deadlines and ensuring all procedural requirements are met. Keeping clients informed and maintaining accurate records on our case management system. Supporting colleagues within the legal services team when required. Skills and experience We are looking for someone who is confident, organised and experienced in employment tribunal advocacy.
