Position Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Foreman to lead and manage landscape installation and maintenance crews. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of landscape construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure high-quality work is completed efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of landscape crew members.
- Interpret and implement landscape design plans and specifications.
- Ensure work is completed to company and industry standards.
- Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment (e.g., diggers, dumpers, saws, power tools).
- Train and mentor crew members to improve productivity and skill sets.
- Monitor site safety and enforce proper use of PPE and safety procedures.
- Manage time and materials to stay within project budgets and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure cleanup and proper jobsite appearance upon completion.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of hard landscaping experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction, ground works, planting, hardscaping, and turf and artificial grass installs.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication skills both verbally and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in any of the above work tasks.
- OSHA or other safety training certifications.
