Salary: £13.00 to £13.50 per hour DOE Employment: Full Time, Permanent, 39 hours per week Working schedule: Monday to Thursday 7am to 3.30pm and Friday 7am to 2.30pm
Location: Leeds LS10, West Yorkshire Profile Our client, based on the outskirts of Leeds, has been established for over 25 years and is a market leader in the manufacture of bespoke furniture for the hospitality industry.
They manufacture and fit out hotels with high-quality furniture for prestigious clients including Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, and Crowne Plaza.
This role is ideal for candidates with previous assembly experience and either some experience operating woodworking machinery or a keen interest in learning.
Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Following all health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices.
Assembling furniture to a high standard.
Learning to operate a range of woodworking machinery.
Carrying out quality inspections and identifying faults or defects.
Packing finished products ready for dispatch.
Assisting with backing off various machines within the factory.
Moving work in progress safely and efficiently between departments.
Essential
Skills: Previous experience in furniture assembly.
A willingness to learn and develop skills across various areas of the factory, including upholstery, polishing/spraying, furniture assembly, and operating machinery such as beam saws, CNC machines, and edge banders.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A strong commitment to producing work to a high standard.
Good communication skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative.
