Salary £13.31 per hour/ £27,684.80 based on 40-hour week + additional on call payment. 40 hour per week full time.

This is a joint role supporting both the onsite workshop and the field service engineers. This role also includes being on the on-call, out of hours rota. The workshop role consists of the repairs and reconditioning of wheelchairs and submitting quotes. The role of the Field Service Engineer is to carry out repairs and maintenance to the wheelchairs within clients’ own homes.

Physical demands of the job:

  • Moving and handling of equipment and accessories following handling guidelines
  • Standing at a bench to work
  • Kneeling/crouching
  • Use of ramps and any other agreed moving equipment

Ideally you will possess an engineering background, but full training will be given for the right applicant. You need to be able to work in a fast-moving environment, able to maintain accurate and detailed records. Be able to communicate well with both team members and clients in their own home.
