Location: Hockley (covering clients within Essex)
Part time - 21 hours - 3 days (on site) per week
Salary: £45-60k (pro-rata)
Our client provides outsourced HR, payroll, recruitment and IT support to small businesses across the UK. Due to growth, they are now looking for an Essex based dynamic, experienced HR business partner, with a passion for helping small businesses, to join their growing team. This is a part-time role, where you will be required to work with clients on site. This is not a home based / remote working post.
You’ll be the trusted HR partner, delivering commercial, practical solutions across the full employee lifecycle.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partnering with small business owners to provide tailored HR advice and solutions
- Supporting with recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance
- Conducting HR audits and creating bespoke contracts, handbooks, and policies
- Advising on complex ER issues (grievances, disciplinaries, redundancies, capability, sickness)
- Staying ahead of HR trends and helping clients streamline processes
- Building strong relationships and delivering high-quality, timely HR support
To be considered for the role you will need:
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) highly desirable
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally with small businesses or outsourced HR providers
- Hands-on experience managing complex ER cases
- Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
- Tech-savvy with HR software (PeopleHR / SenseHR / Bright HR experience a plus)
- Resilient, adaptable, and customer-focused with a passion for development
