We are looking for an experienced Installation Engineer to join our team. We specialise in the design, installation and maintenance of renewable energy and energy-efficient systems, including air source heat pumps, air conditioning, solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and electrical installations for domestic and commercial customers. Role overview: This is a varied installation role working across domestic properties throughout Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning and supporting a range of renewable energy and air conditioning systems, whilst carrying out associated electrical work to a high standard.
Duties include:
- Installing air conditioning systems within domestic properties
- Working on air-to-air and air-to-water heat pump installations
- Installing solar PV and battery storage systems
- Carrying out associated electrical installation work
- Testing, commissioning and fault finding
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with industry regulations
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
The ideal candidate: We are looking for an experienced, hands-on engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality installations. You'll have both electrical and air conditioning experience, enjoy working across multiple technologies and be comfortable working in customers' homes. A positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to communicate professionally with customers are just as important as your technical skills.
Essential:
- Qualified Electrician
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Valid F-Gas Qualification
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience installing and commissioning air conditioning systems
- Strong understanding of electrical installation, testing and fault finding
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards of workmanship
Desirable:
- Experience installing air source heat pumps
- Solar PV and battery storage experience
- Renewable energy industry experience
- Inspection and Testing qualifications
- NICEIC experience
- Experience working within domestic properties
