We are a small, well established care company that has supported local communities across Arnold, Gedling, Carlton, Mapperley and Burton Joyce for over 18 years. What makes us different is our people and how we treat them. Our carers are experienced, supportive and proud of the care they deliver in our clients' homes. Many have been with us for a long time, and all of our senior carers are home grown talent that are there to guide and support carers out on field.
We believe great care starts with looking after our carers. That means proper planning, local travel, and a professional environment where you feel valued and respected.
This is a care role that fits around your life, not the other way around. A role where you have time to care, build relationships and leave work knowing you have done things properly. We offer flexible working between 7am and 9pm, with hours to suit you. From around 5 hours a week up to full time, including every other weekend (proportionate to the hours you work). Care runs are planned close together in your local area, so you are not travelling all over the place. Rotas are planned in advance and we work within your agreed availability. We do not constantly call asking you to cover extra calls or to rush visits. You will feel supported, trusted and respected in your role.
Responsibilities
- You will be visiting people in their own homes to help them stay independent, comfortable and supported. Often, you will be the friendly face that helps make their day easier. This can include:
- Preparing and making meals
- Assisting with personal care where needed
- Light household tasks such as making the bed or a bit of hoovering
- Making a cup of tea and spending time chatting
- Supporting with medication
- Helping arrange appointments such as GP or district nurse visits
- Supporting with food shopping
Experience
You may already have experience in care, or you may bring experience from life. What matters most to us is the heart of the person. We are looking for people who are kind, reliable and professional, and who want to make a real difference. Drivers are preferred, although we will consider walkers depending on location. We provide a 12 week paid training plan along with all relevant qualifications for you to carry out your role.
Why apply?
- Great pay with flexible hours that work for you
- Local care runs, not long distances
- Rotas planned in advance and respected
- A role that makes a genuine difference every day
- DBS and uniform supplied and paid for
- A clear pathway for career progression
- Company pension scheme
If this sounds like the kind of care role you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and take the first step towards a role where your time is respected, your work makes a real difference, and you are supported every step of the way.
