The opportunity:
We are looking for a Print Finisher / Trainee Print Finisher that is willing to contribute in a vast array of activities, namely leaning toward BOBST cut & crease machinery and other generalist finishing processes such as guillotining, stripping, quality control packing and warehouse operations and potentially BOBST gluing machinery. Ideally suited to someone with low/mid level experience.
Key responsibilities but not limited to:
- Listen to, read, and accurately interpret production instructions
- Operation of BOBST cut & crease machinery (training provided)
- Operation of POLAR guillotine machinery (training provided)
- Assist No1 machine operators (training provided)
- Carry out a range of general warehouse operations
- Strip die-cut packaging from pallets of flat sheet material
- Quality check and inspect products, ensuring consistency and attention to detail
- Pack, label, and palletise products for dispatch
- Produce delivery notes and organise delivery consignments
- Work quickly and accurately to meet targets
- Potential operation of BOBST gluing machinery (training provided)
- Machine maintenance and 5S principles
- Participate adhere to Health & Safety, Fire Safety, First Aid, and Waste Management duties
Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role involving print finishing, other machine operations, physical activity, assisting No1 machine operators, quality checking, packing and palletising advantageous
- Ability to quickly learn new machine operations, IT software and systems
- Strong IT skills, including familiarity with bespoke systems, email, and the Microsoft Office 365 suite
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Professional and positive communication skills
- Experience or knowledge of Health and Safety, IOSH, Fire Safety, First Aid, or Waste Management advantageous
- Valid forklift truck licence advantageous
- Willingness to contribute flexibly across different areas of production operations
- Genuine whatever it takes to deliver attitude
