This role is ideally suited to maintenance plumbers who have an appetite for problem solving and retro fitting rather than first fix or fit out plumbers. Typical environments are commercial building and schools or similar. Following the successful award of a flagship contract withSevern Trent Water, they need to recruit plumbers to help them help their commercial customers become water efficient. The region stretches across the West Midlands and includes Birmingham, Coventry and Leicester. You may be recently qualified looking for a new role or someone with many years plumbing experience who wants something different to the norm; either way this is a great role that benefits customers enabling them to cut carbon, save water and money. They know the customers love it because they have a 96% approval rating. Our client plans all of jobs for you, all you have to do is turn up at the customers property and carry out the commercial water efficiency survey, you may then have to fit a range of products that they supply to help the customer save water, ranging from urinal controls to push taps. All in all, together with customers theyll be aiming to be carbon zero, help customers get there and importantly, reduce water use to a sustainable level of 15% less over the next 5 years. Job Summary Youll be visiting companies who are keen to save water and money, example include schools, colleges, hotels, office blocks etc. You may be staying away from home. Youll be able to represent them and the water company clients in a confident, professional and knowledgeable manner, while engaging and discussing water use across a range of areas from taps and showers to pools, hot tubs, irrigation and more. Youll be carrying out water efficiency checks within commercial settings, discussing water use and assessing the plumbing fittings, measuring the flow rates and looking for leaks. Where necessary, youll be fitting products from their comprehensive range of water saving products and taking a meter read. Through training and workshops, youll become a water saving expert, dispensing advice, looking for new technologies and most importantly passionate about delivering a worthy and exceptional service. Plus, youll be inputting the vital data youve been taking onto their system on your provided IT equipment. Main Duties Visiting commercial properties, liaising with business managers. Discussing water efficiency and the drivers behind it. Survey and check of existing water fittings. Fitting the recommend water saving devices. Ensuring the highest of customer care standards are met. Data inputting Deliver the best service in the industry (they have a 96% satisfaction rating). Feeding back any learnings and improvement Occasional weekend work will be required. Qualifications: City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing NVQ National Water Hygiene The Blue Card preferred although training will be provided.
