We’re doing this by hiring exceptional people. Equals is looking to hire an experienced Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager to join their team in Chester/London.
With our headquarters in London and teams in Brussels, Chester, Amsterdam and Los Angeles, the Equals Group operates a portfolio of successful and exciting business lines and brands – Equals Money, FairFX and CardOneMoney in the UK and now Equals Money Europe in Belgium. The Opportunity
This role will generate revenue by selling Embedded Financial Experiences to brands, financial services providers and fintech scale‑ups in the UK and Europe. It means that you will have the opportunity to establish yourself at the intersection of finance, technology and regulation, demonstrating how Equals can power next‑gen apps and platforms for the greater good! You will have the opportunity to partner your strategic sales ability with our formidable experience in offering “Banking as a Service” and “Cards as a Service” products at scale. This role provides enormous potential for career and financial progression.
Your Responsibilities
- Work with startups, brands and established financial services providers to demonstrate our unique value.
- This is first and foremost a hunter role, although you may receive some qualified prospects and you will be responsible for the overall business development, client engagement, and sales lifecycle of those.
- Deeply understand the prospect's business, regulatory construct, flow of funds and challenges to ensure that Equals is the correct solution for the prospect.
- Manage time effectively by qualifying and re‑qualifying prospects throughout the sales cycle.
- Build trust with the prospect by demonstrating that you understand the prospects’ business objectives and that our success can only result from their success.
- Maintain and update an accurate log of activity in the CRM system.
- Use phone and email to correspond with prospects.
- Provide feedback across Equals related to information prospects share that could be helpful in advertising, marketing and product roadmap.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience selling SaaS, fintech/tech or B2B solutions.
- Superb listening skills. You must understand objections and defeat them by turning sceptics into ecstatic new customers.
- High level of empathy. It’s important for our Sales Executives to be a good person to peers and prospects.
- Demonstrable history of carrying and exceeding quota.
- Proven ability to make strong connections and overcome rejection to achieve results.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct compelling on‑site presentations to C‑Level executives.
- Tenacity and discipline to follow up with passion and respect.
- A self‑starter that thrives when given a clean sheet of paper and a target to hit.
- A collaborative team‑player attitude with a desire to improve internal processes beyond your day‑to‑day tasks.
- A desire to learn, grow, and get in on the ground floor of a fast‑growing fintech.
- Nice to have - multilingual/ability to speak a number of languages skills.
