About the role
A Project Manager at the Equals Group is an organised methodical person dedicated to planning, managing and monitoring the delivery of projects to ensure they deliver the required project outputs within agreed tolerances and standards. With the delivery of key projects within the business, a Project Manager would be expected to drive continuous improvement whilst stretching themselves and learning new skills, working closely with other Project Managers in the Projects Team, as well as a wide range of project stakeholders including members of the Executive team, Senior Leadership team, Departmental Managers and external customers.
An ambitious, organised person with the ability to utilise and tailor project management methodologies to suit the specific project needs whilst always applying the required level of governance. This person will be expected to produce a high standard of project documentation and status reports and regularly provide this information to the direct line manager, Head of Project Management and other senior leaders across the business.

Responsibilities
- As a project manager you are ultimately responsible for managing the successful completion of projects from initiation to completion to achieve business goals aligned with Group strategy, including the identification and management of risks and issues which can impact on project delivery.
- Review and define project scope by obtaining definition from each stakeholder in terms of what they are looking to achieve as part of the project.
- Manage and deliver projects.
- Carry out detailed impact assessments, working with stakeholders to identify key processes either impacted or required by the project to ensure they are fully defined, documented and implemented.
- Maintain project documentation in an organised and clear way, using project management best practices, standards and guidelines.
- Maintain detailed project plans which include scope, roles/responsibilities, tasks/schedule, resource, and dependencies.
- Track costs and timelines against the original plan foreseeing any potential issues and risks to the project.
- Identify and resolve issues and risks using the adopted methodology detailing mitigations, controls and identify any further actions required.
- Communicate effectively on project delivery timeline, milestones and RAG status to the project team, stakeholders, senior management and steering committees. Communicating in language that is appropriate to the audience.
- Schedule and lead project meetings, including preparation of meeting agendas and minutes. Tracking action items that arise from meetings to ensure completion of those tasks.
- Ability to use a variety of project methodologies (Waterfall/Agile) to support the best outcome for the project deliverable against time and cost.
- Keeping up to date with industry project management standards and applying these where applicable in the role.
- Ensure that statutory training requirements are met.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time by the Effective Management of Equals Money Europe SA.
Accountabilities
A Project Manager is accountable for meeting all requirements of a project. Accountable to the Executive Sponsor of the project in question and/or steering committee (where applicable).
Essential Skills
- Previous demonstrable experience in project management.
- Previous experience operating in regulated financial services.
- Demonstrable experience in larger operationally complex projects with multi departmental stakeholders.
- High level of organisational skills and a clear ability to leverage project management tools to produce and maintain detailed project plans outlining timelines, dependencies and major milestones to drive projects and produce a high standard of project reporting.
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with clear ability to adapt communication style.
- Ability to work independently and self motivate to ensure project management tasks are delivered at a high standard.
- Ability to drive others to ensure project delivery.
- Excellent time management and administrative skills.
- Confident in being able to challenge the status quo.
- Previous experience with Agile Project Management methodologies with ability to adapt where approach where required.
- Fluent in English and French; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in the management of governed/regulated projects.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in project management.
- Project Management certification.
- Previous experience in management of AI projects or delivery of customer facing and/or colleague enabling products that are enabled by AI, utilising Machine Learning.
- ‘Can do’ attitude.
- Evidence lessons learned from previous projects and ability to apply learnings.
