The "Engine Room" Role.
This role places you right at the centre of the action - the true heartbeat of education recruitment. We are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our Swansea Team at Equal Teaching on a permanent basis. We need someone who thrives on the pace of supply recruitment - the 7:00 am buzz, the adrenaline of filling a booking in 5 minutes, and the satisfaction of knowing you saved a school’s day. This is a long-term strategic hire. We are looking for someone to take ownership of a desk, build a patch, and grow with the business as we scale in 2026.
The Reality of the Role
- The "Morning Rush": You need to be in and ready at 7:00 am. You need to be sharp, organized, and able to spin plates when three schools call at once.
- 360 Recruitment: You aren’t just filling bookings. You are out visiting schools, interviewing candidates, and winning new business.
- Relationship Building: You become the "go-to" person for Headteachers in your patch. They trust you because you deliver.
- Momentum: This is high-volume. It requires energy, resilience, and a phone-first attitude.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience: Ideally, you have 6-12+ months in recruitment (Education, Health, or Industrial preferred). You know how a temp desk works. Alternatively: You are a sales professional or a teacher looking to leave the classroom but stay in the education sector (and earn commission).
- Hunger: You want to run your own desk and see the direct link between your effort and your paycheck.
- Driver: A driving license is essential for visiting schools.
Why Equal Teaching?
- Best Tech in Class: We use one of the most advanced Education Recruitment-specific CRMs in the market, meaning less admin and more time selling.
- Clear Career Path: We are restructuring for growth. There is a clear pathway from Consultant > Senior > Principal > Team Lead.
- The "Good" Guys: We are a Welsh business with deep roots in the sector. We do things properly.
The Package
- Competitive Base Salary
- Uncapped Commission (Tiered structure up to 20%)
- Reduced hours during school holidays (we work hard in term time, we recover in the holidays).
Location & Eligibility
- Right to Work: You MUST be fully eligible to work in the UK. We cannot offer sponsorship for this role.
- In-Person Requirement: This is an office-based role. You must be able to operate in-person from any of our branches in Swansea, Cardiff, or Llandeilo.
