We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistant to join our client school, supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with a range of additional learning and developmental needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with autism, communication difficulties, and general additional learning needs
  • Providing tailored one-to-one and small group support in line with individual development plans
  • Supporting speech, language, and differentiated learning activities to boost engagement
  • Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and classroom inclusion
  • Fostering pupil independence, self-esteem, and social confidence
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and specialist support professionals

Requirements

  • Has experience supporting children or young people with ALN
  • Is calm, patient and caring, with a flexible and positive approach
  • Works well as part of a team in a specialist setting
  • Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
