A rapidly growing clean-technology engineering business is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to take ownership of key mechanical subsystems used in large-scale maritime hardware. This role offers full lifecycle involvement from concept, detailed design, manufacturing release, and supplier interface.

YOUR NEW ROLE

  • Lead mechanical design from concept to production
  • Produce 3D models, drawings, and calculations
  • Ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and production readiness
  • Resolve design/manufacturing issues quickly
  • Work closely with international suppliers
  • Support and review junior engineers

ABOUT YOU

  • Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Marine Engineering
  • 5–10 years’ mechanical design experience in a production environment
  • Strong 3D CAD (Siemens NX, Inventor, or similar)
  • Experience with fabrication, welding, large structural assemblies
  • Strong DFMA knowledge
  • Background in marine, offshore, wind, or heavy engineering
  • Experience with DNV/LR or similar standards
  • Mandarin skills beneficial but not essential
