A rapidly growing clean-technology engineering business is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to take ownership of key mechanical subsystems used in large-scale maritime hardware. This role offers full lifecycle involvement from concept, detailed design, manufacturing release, and supplier interface.
YOUR NEW ROLE
- Lead mechanical design from concept to production
- Produce 3D models, drawings, and calculations
- Ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and production readiness
- Resolve design/manufacturing issues quickly
- Work closely with international suppliers
- Support and review junior engineers
ABOUT YOU
- Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Marine Engineering
- 5–10 years’ mechanical design experience in a production environment
- Strong 3D CAD (Siemens NX, Inventor, or similar)
- Experience with fabrication, welding, large structural assemblies
- Strong DFMA knowledge
- Background in marine, offshore, wind, or heavy engineering
- Experience with DNV/LR or similar standards
- Mandarin skills beneficial but not essential
