Job Description:
Equal Education Partners is seeking a dedicated Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant to support a vibrant Primary School within the Rhondda Cynon Taff area. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a school that celebrates Welsh culture and language, and promotes an inclusive learning environment for all students.
In this role, you will work with pupils across various Key Stages, providing support in both English and Welsh. You will assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lesson plans, help students with their learning activities, and foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils in both Welsh and English during lessons
- Helping with classroom management and maintaining student focus
- Preparing learning materials and resources under the direction of the class teacher
- Assisting in the delivery of lessons and promoting engagement with the curriculum
- Collaborating with parents and staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- Fluency in both Welsh and English, with strong communication skills in both languages
- Experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly within Primary schools
- A positive attitude and the ability to support and motivate children
- Relevant qualifications in child development or education would be an advantage
- A current Enhanced DBS check or the willingness to obtain one
- A current Safeguarding certificate or the willingness to obtain one
