Job Description:
Equal Education Partners is seeking a Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming Primary School in Caerphilly. This role involves working closely with students to enhance their learning experience in both English and Welsh, and to promote a bilingual environment within the school.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a strong understanding of the Welsh language, providing assistance to the class teacher and supporting students\’ academic and social development.
This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 15:30. The role is available immediately and is set to continue for the remainder of the academic year, with a daily pay rate of between £80-£120 based on experience.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Delivering lessons and assisting students in both Welsh and English.
- Supporting pupils\’ learning and wellbeing, including those with additional learning needs.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborating with teachers to prepare educational materials and activities.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must be fluent in Welsh and have experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting. A strong understanding of the curriculum and the ability to support diverse learning needs is essential. Candidates should also possess excellent communication skills, a nurturing attitude, and the commitment to help children reach their full potential.
