✨ About the Role:
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you’ll support teachers and pupils across a range of subjects, helping to create a positive, focused learning environment. Your role will be to engage students, support their learning needs, and help maintain a smooth-running classroom.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a variety of secondary schools, with the flexibility to work full-time or part-time around your availability.
🧑 🏫 Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers with classroom activities, admin and behaviour management
- Help students stay on task, focused, and motivated during lessons
- Provide targeted one-to-one or small group support as needed
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
- Monitor student engagement and wellbeing
- Follow safeguarding policies and ensure student safety at all times
✅ What You’ll Need:
- Experience working with children or young people (in a classroom, care, youth work, tutoring, sports coaching, etc.)
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for us to process one)
- Legal right to work in the UK and currently living in the UK
