We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support verbal and non-verbal pupils with ASD within a specialist resource base in a mainstream secondary school.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing 1:1 support for pupils with ASD
  • Supporting communication, sensory regulation and routines
  • Implementing individual support and behaviour plans
  • Promoting independence, engagement and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with teachers and SEN/ALN staff

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Experienced supporting pupils with ASD (verbal and non-verbal)
  • Calm, patient and consistent in their approach
  • Confident using structured routines and positive behaviour strategies
