We’re currently recruiting enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across the region. Whether you have classroom experience or transferable skills from youth work, care, tutoring, or similar, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role:

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you’ll support teachers and pupils across a range of subjects, helping to create a positive, focused learning environment. Your role will be to engage students, support their learning needs, and help maintain a smooth-running classroom.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a variety of secondary schools, with the flexibility to work full-time or part-time around your availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers with classroom activities, admin and behaviour management
  • Help students stay on task, focused, and motivated during lessons
  • Provide targeted one-to-one or small group support as needed
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
  • Monitor student engagement and wellbeing
  • Follow safeguarding policies and ensure student safety at all times

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience working with children or young people (in a classroom, care, youth work, tutoring, sports coaching, etc.)
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for us to process one)
  • Legal right to work in the UK and currently living in the UK
