We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly mainstream school in Haverfordwest. While this is a supply position, you will be welcomed as a key part of the classroom, helping to create a positive and motivating environment for every child. Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the lead teacher to deliver engaging lessons and manage the daily classroom routine.

  • Provide 1:1 assistance to pupils who need a little extra help to stay on track with their assignments.
  • Oversee pupils during break times, lunch, and school trips to ensure a safe and happy environment.
  • Help organise and distribute learning materials so that lessons run smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Strong nurturing approach – caring, patient, and genuinely loves watching children learn and grow.
  • Strong communication skills – approachable and able to build relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Desirable bilingual skills – fluent Welsh speakers welcomed.
  • Versatile background – experience in sports coaching, youth leadership, dance or photography is a huge plus.
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council (or willing to sign up).
  • Clear Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willing to process one).
  • Valid Safeguarding Level 1 certificate (training provided if needed).
  • Provide valid ID and strong references.
