We are looking for empathetic, resilient Teaching Assistants to support students with Special Educational Needs in Carmarthenshire. You don’t need to be a qualified teacher to make a massive difference; you just need patience and the ability to build strong relationships. What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs (ALN), including learning difficulties, ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
- Providing one-to-one or small group support, tailored to individual needs
- Assisting the classroom teacher in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and progress in every learner
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, ALNCOs, and external professionals
- Upholding the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
What You’ll Need:
- Experience supporting children or young people with additional learning needs
- A calm, caring and flexible approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for us to process one)
- Right to work in the UK and currently based here
