Right now, we have a fantastic opportunity for a fluent Welsh-speaking Classroom-Based Youth Support Worker to join one of our wonderful partner secondary schools in Cardiff.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll be providing in-class support to learners, helping them engage with lessons, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.
  • Supporting students one-to-one and in small groups during lessons.
  • Encouraging participation, confidence, and positive behaviour.
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and inclusive learning.
  • Building positive relationships and acting as a role model.
  • Supporting individual learning and well-being needs.
  • Ensuring pupil well-being and safeguarding at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fluent Welsh speaker (spoken and written) – this role is all about supporting Welsh-medium learning.
  • Friendly, confident, and adaptable.
  • Great communication and people skills.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and love for working with young people.
  • Experience in schools or youth settings is ideal (but we’ll support you if you’re new to it).
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
