Specialist ALN School | Ages 3–19
Rate: £90 – £95 per day
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistant to join our client school supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils with SLD, PMLD, autism, physical disabilities and complex learning needs
- Providing one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual development plans
- Occasionally assisting with personal care, mobility and wellbeing, ensuring dignity and safety
- Supporting sensory, communication and differentiated learning activities
- Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and inclusion
- Working closely with teachers and specialist professionals
Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting children or young people with ALN or complex needs
- Is calm, patient and caring, with a flexible and positive approach
- Works well as part of a team in a specialist setting
- Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
